Daniel Valla

Daniel Valla is a seasoned Data Scientist with extensive experience in fraud prevention through artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently, at dLocal, Daniel focuses on proactive fraud protection by developing cross-industry machine learning models. Prior experience includes a senior role at Naranja X, where Daniel implemented a comprehensive fraud prevention solution for online and in-person payments. Daniel has also conducted statistical analyses and research in oceanography at the Servicio de Hidrografia Naval Argentino and held research positions with CONICET and the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research. Daniel holds a Doctorate and Licentiate degree in Oceanography from the University of Buenos Aires.
