Jacobo Singer

Jacobo Singer was promoted from Chief Operations Officer to President in April of 2021. As Chief Operations Officer at dLocal, Jacobo Singer led a broad range of initiatives and oversaw the IT and business systems and was responsible for keeping dLocal’s rigorous expansion efforts on track. He ensured that key business and banking relationships were in place as the company grew its presence across LATAM, APAC, Middle East and Africa, and that it was operating in compliance with the local rules and regulations.

Jacobo was previously dLocal’s CTO, and has designed and built the payments platform from the ground up. Prior to dLocal, he led product and engineering teams at AstroPay where he gained deep technology and project management expertise. Jacobo holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Information Technology from Universidad ORT Uruguay.
