Alexander Dyck

Alexander Dyck is currently the department head for urban and building technologies at DLR, focusing on the future of energy supply through sector coupling with renewable energies. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the interim director of the DLR Institute for Maritime Energy Systems, where they led the development of innovative solutions for decarbonizing shipping. Previously, Dyck held the position of head of the fuel cell division at Next Energy EWE Research Center for Energy Technology from 2011 to 2017, managing material development and system evaluation for various fuel cell types. They began their career as a technology scout at FRIWO/CEAG AG from 2002 to 2006, supporting the development of fuel cell systems and contributing to standardization bodies at national and international levels. Dyck earned a Diplom in Chemistry from the University of Paderborn between 1993 and 1998.
