Claudio Castellini

Claudio Castellini is a researcher in medical robotics, focusing on rehabilitation and assistive robotics, human-machine interfaces, and applied machine learning. They obtained a degree in Electronic (Biomedical) Engineering from the University of Genoa in 1998, followed by a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh in 2005. They have spent 4.5 years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Advanced Robotics Laboratory of the University of Genoa and have been a senior researcher at the German Aerospace Center since 2009. In 2021, Claudio was appointed full professor at the Chair of Medical Robotics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and has (co)authored nearly 150 scientific papers while actively participating in various research projects and editorial boards.
