Daniel Aeschbach is currently the Head of the Department of Sleep and Human Factors Research at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and a Professor of Sleep Physiology and Chronobiology at the University of Bonn. They served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Lecturer in Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2002 to 2011. Additionally, Aeschbach was the Head of the Division of Flight Physiology at the German Aerospace Center from 2011 to 2017. They are pursuing a PhD at ETH Zürich.
