Felix Bachofer

Felix Bachofer is the Team Lead of the "Water Security and Coastal Systems" unit at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), focusing on research at the intersection of global change, climate extremes, and disaster risk reduction. Previously, Felix held roles such as Senior Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Researcher, managing various projects related to urban remote sensing and multi-source data integration. Felix earned a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from the University of Tübingen, where earlier studies also included a Diploma in Geography and extensive GIS education. Throughout a robust career, Felix has contributed to research initiatives across multiple countries, leveraging Earth Observation and geospatial analysis to address pressing societal challenges.
