Joerg Dittrich

Joerg Dittrich is a seasoned expert in drone regulations, currently serving as the Leader of JARUS WG-SRM, where they focus on developing recommendations for safety and risk regulations for remote pilot aircraft systems. Joerg previously held positions at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., including Senior Expert and Head of the Department of Unmanned Aircraft, where they directed multiple UAV research projects and supervised a team of engineers and researchers. They began their academic journey at the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering, and contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant in UAV research.
