Josef Schrade

Josef Schrade is the Head of SAT Communication and Ground Stations (GSOC) at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. - German Aerospace Center, where they focus on the operational ground data transfer system for spacecraft operations. With a strong belief in leveraging innovative technologies for a better future, they have held various leadership roles at EADS and Airbus, specializing in enterprise solutions, business integration, and strategic projects. Josef has extensive experience in digital transformation and building multicultural teams to enhance customer satisfaction. They began their career as a Development Engineer and earned a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca.
