Dr.-Ing. Marco Klein is the Head of the Ship Performance Department at the DLR Institute of Maritime Energy Systems since 2023. Previously, Klein served as an Oberingenieur and led the Offshore Dynamics Group at Technische Universität Hamburg from 2020 to 2023, following a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2017 to 2020. Klein earned a Dipl.-Ing. in Verkehrswesen, specializing in Schiffs- und Meerestechnik, as well as a doctorate in Engineering, both from Technische Universität Berlin, graduating summa cum laude.
