Markus Meringer

Markus Meringer is a mathematician and computer scientist with extensive experience in software development and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computer applications in earth and life sciences. Meringer has served as a staff scientist at the German Aerospace Center since 2006, focusing on the development of data processors for atmospheric spectrometers. They have also held visiting scientist positions at multiple institutions, including the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Earth-Life Science Institute, where they worked on projects related to astrobiology and chemoinformatics. Meringer earned both a Dipl.-Math. and a Dr. rer. nat. in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the University of Bayreuth.
