Max von Danwitz is currently the Research Group Lead at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), focusing on simulation methods for digital twins. They previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Mathematics and Computer-Based Simulation (IMCS) from 2021 to 2023 and as a Research and Teaching Associate at RWTH Aachen University from 2015 to 2021. Max also holds a Lectureship at Bundeswehr University Munich since 2022. They earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Simulation Science from RWTH Aachen University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from the Technical University of Munich.
