Nikhil Shinde is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in computational sciences and engineering. Nikhil began with an internship at Interiorsinfo in 2018 and later served as a Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft at Fraunhofer WKI from May 2021 to August 2023, where Nikhil conducted crash simulations and finite element analysis. Nikhil worked on a specialization project at Technische Universität Braunschweig analyzing steam turbine seals using ANSYS Fluent. In 2024, Nikhil joined the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as a scientific researcher focusing on CFD simulations for low emission gas turbines and fuel-flexible combustion systems. Nikhil’s master thesis involved validating CFD simulations for hydrogen combustion, contributing to resource efficiency in high-performance computing. More recently, Nikhil has been a Werkstudent at Fraunhofer IPA, performing aerodynamic analyses and complex assembly pre-processing. Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and a Master of Science from Technische Universität Braunschweig.
