Simon Hümbert

Simon Hümbert is a Program Manager at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) specializing in mechanical engineering, with a focus on additive manufacturing, robotics, and advanced manufacturing processes. Currently finalizing their Ph.D. at the University of Stuttgart, Simon's research centers on large-scale robotic 3D printing and automated process optimization. Previously, they contributed significantly to aerospace applications through the development of flight models for satellite experiments and the implementation of robotic additive manufacturing processes. Simon has collaborated internationally with organizations such as ESA and Airbus and has presented research at various international conferences. They are actively seeking new opportunities in R&D, process automation, and additive manufacturing, available from April 2025.
