Stefan Görtz

Head of Center for Computer Applications in Aerospace Science and Engineering (C²A²S²E)

Stefan Görtz has extensive experience in aerospace engineering and multidisciplinary design optimization, currently serving as a Professor at TU Braunschweig in the Institute of Aircraft Design and Lightweight Structures. Prior positions include roles as a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, a research engineer and principal investigator at DLR on the VicToria project, and a guest scientist at Airbus, among others. Stefan has held leadership roles such as Head of the Center for Computer Applications in Aerospace Science and Engineering at DLR and has a track record of significant contributions to various aerospace R&D departments, including DaimlerChrysler AG and the US Air Force Academy. Educational qualifications include a PhD in aerospace engineering and an MSc in vehicle engineering, complemented by advanced management training.
