Torsten Methling

Torsten Methling is currently the Gruppenleiter Chemisch-kinetische Modellierung at Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., a position they have held since 2019. Previously, they completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Lund University from 2018 to 2019 and were a PhD student at DLR from 2011 to 2017, where they focused on optimizing chemical kinetic reaction models and managing projects. Torsten earned a Doktor (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Universität Stuttgart between 2012 and 2017 and holds a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from Technische Universität München, completed in 2011. They began their career with an internship at MTU Aero Engines in 2010.
