Eric B. Ratts, AIA, is the Vice President of DLZ, where they oversee the operations of the Architectural and Building Engineering Division, focusing on design concepts, standards compliance, and quality assurance. With over 38 years of experience, Eric has gained national recognition for excellence and innovation in their building designs, particularly in Justice Architecture, having developed studies and designs for more than 34,000 rated correctional beds since 2000. They also lead the DLZ Justice Studio, managing a variety of justice-related projects, and specialize in Jail Rated Bed Capacity Studies, Staffing and Operations Reviews, as well as Policies and Procedures development. Eric pursued their dream of becoming a Registered Architect, affirming it as the perfect profession for them. They continue their education at Ball State University, working toward degrees in Environmental Design and Architecture.
