Mark Kessinger has over 30 years of experience in various roles related to water resources, dam safety, and environmental engineering. From 1982 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, focusing on the support of the Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory. In 2015, they joined Geosyntec Consultants as a Senior Environmental Engineer, where they used their management and technical skills to expand the company's client base and project opportunities. Since 2016, Mark has been a part of DLZ Corporation, initially serving as the Federal Business Coordinator, responsible for expanding the company's federal market by working with government agencies. Currently, they hold the role of VP for Water Resources & Dam Safety and is also the Director of Federal Business at DLZ Corporation.
Mark Kessinger obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, where they studied from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management at Marshall University, studying from 1989 to 1991.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Mark Kessinger also possesses professional certifications. In 2008, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Mark further enhanced their expertise by completing the Project Management Professional certification again in 2015. Both certifications were obtained from the Project Management Institute.
