Michael Leavitt has over three decades of experience in civil engineering and public service. Currently a Division Manager at DLZ Corporation since June 1999, Michael oversees the Construction and Survey Departments for the Indianapolis office, serving the central and southern Indiana markets. As a member of the Board of Directors for Cordry Sweetwater Conservancy District since January 2023 and Fire Chief of the Cordry Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Department since August 2009, Michael leads efforts in emergency services and board governance. Michael's previous roles include Chief Surveyor/Mining Engineer at Newmont Mining Corporation, City Engineer for the City of Bloomington, and Project Engineer for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
