Founded in 2011 by architect Kiran Hanumaiah, Design Matters is a Bangalore-based architectural and interior design studio rooted in simplicity, clarity, and contextual thinking.

With over two decades of experience in the field, our practice is driven by a deep respect for materials, light, and spatial quality. From residential architecture to interior environments and bespoke furniture, we approach every project with the belief that good design should not only look beautiful,  it should feel right.

Our work is defined by minimal forms, earthy palettes, and thoughtful detailing that respond to both the client and the site. We believe that design is not about excess, but essence and that the spaces we inhabit shape the way we live.
