George Young has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IT. George recently joined DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants as an IT Systems Director in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Norton Rose Fulbright as an IT Service Delivery Director from January 2022 to May 2022.
Before these roles, George held various positions at BentallGreenOak, starting as a Director of the Project Management Office in July 2019 and ending as the Vice President of IT Operations in July 2021. In between, they also served as a Director of IT Operations and a Director of IT Infrastructure.
George began their career at Bentall Kennedy in 2000, where they held roles such as the Director of the IT Project Management Office and the Director of IT Infrastructure. In these positions, they led the North American infrastructure team and was responsible for architecture, projects, and operations across a large platform.
Prior to their tenure at Bentall Kennedy, George worked at Information Systems Management (B.C.) Corporation as a Distributed Systems Analyst from August 1995 to January 2000.

George Young's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2019. Additionally, they received an Advanced Project Management Certificate from Langara College.
In terms of certifications, George obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from ITIL in 2008. In 2002, they became a Check Point Certified Systems Administrator (CCSA) through Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. George also obtained the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification from Microsoft in the same year. Furthermore, George earned the Competent Toastmaster (CTM) designation from Toastmasters International in 1997.
