Prashant Kumar

Prashant Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Prashant is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Dminds Solutions Inc., a position they assumed in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Tavant as a Senior Vice President from July 2020 to August 2022, and as a Vice President from May 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining Tavant, Prashant was associated with Cognizant for a significant period. Prashant held the role of Senior Director from April 2011 to May 2019, where they were responsible for managing over $150m P&L of IT Services in the Mortgage & Consumer Lending business unit. During their tenure, they successfully managed and delivered projects related to borrower experience, loan origination and servicing IT landscape, robotics automation, and cost reduction initiatives. Prashant also played a key role in setting up Agile/POD structure teams and digital factories for different clients. Prashant also contributed to the growth of the title industry and consumer finance business during their time at Cognizant. Before becoming a Senior Director, they served as a Director from August 2007 to April 2011.

Prior to Cognizant, Prashant worked at Wipro as a Senior Account Manager for Capital One from April 2005 to August 2007. Prashant started their career at Circuit City, where they held various roles, including Program Manager for IT & Business Strategy from May 1999 to April 2005, and Project Manager for ERP from February 1996 to April 1999. At Circuit City, they managed various PeopleSoft and HRMS projects, served as a liaison between business area and MIS, and played a pivotal role in project definition and scope negotiations. Prashant excelled in managing projects within the PMO framework following the PMBOK methodology.

Their earlier experiences include working at iGate Mastech as a Project Lead and Offshore Coordinator from January 1995 to January 1996, and at Pentafour Software Solutions as a Programmer from April 1994 to January 1995. At Pentafour Software Solutions, they were involved in AS/400 projects and also served as an IBM certified instructor for AS/400 courses.

Prashant Kumar earned a B.E. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from SIT, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Prashant obtained certifications in Portfolio Management from Stanford University in March 2006, and in Skilled Negotiator from The Gap Partnership, although the specific dates of completion for the latter certification are unavailable.
