Matthew Davies has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matthew currently holds the position of Senior R&D Engineer Team Lead at DNA Electronics (DNAe), where they commenced in January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at the same company from April 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining DNAe, Matthew worked at Osler Diagnostics from January 2020 to March 2021 as a Senior Engineer. Matthew was responsible for overseeing a team of production and workshop technicians, focusing on creating innovative concepts for instrumentation, mechanical assemblies, and sensors, among other tasks. Matthew also worked as an Engineering Support Specialist at the same company from July 2019 to January 2020.

Matthew was also engaged in freelance design work, where they provided graphic design, illustration, industrial design, and product design engineering services to clients in medical devices, events management, and jewelry design. This freelance work took place from January 2019 to April 2019.

In their career, Matthew gained experience as a Consultant Industrial/Product Design Engineer at Oxford Product Design Ltd from July 2015 to June 2018. Matthew specialized in point-of-care medical devices, healthcare, personal protective equipment (PPE), and consumer product sectors. Matthew was involved in project management, FEA, FMEA, and DFMA, and contributed to the development of Oxford Rapid Prototyping.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked as a Lead Concept Creator/Product Industrial Designer Engineer at David Harber from November 2012 to June 2015, where they created conceptual sketches and 3D models for manufacturing drawings and presentations. Matthew also worked as an Interior Design 2D and 3D design Technician at Etré creative from May 2012 to October 2012, providing detailed plans, virtual models, and renders for customer consultations and marketing campaigns.

Matthew's previous roles include Architectural Model Maker - Graphic Designer at Design Engine Architects from May 2012 to September 2012, Museum Interactive Designer Engineer at Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium from December 2011 to May 2012, and Museum Display Designer Engineer (Project Manager) at Dauphin Restoration Limited from May 2010 to October 2011.

Before embarking on their design career, Matthew worked as an Adult and Community Learning Life Sculpture Tutor at City of Oxford College from September 2009 to April 2010, teaching human anatomy and sculpting techniques, and as a Graphic Design Tutor at the same college from September 2009 to March 2010, teaching graphic design principles and sketchbook development to students preparing for university applications.

Matthew Davies completed their education in a chronological order. Matthew started their academic journey in 2002 by attending Oxpen's College, where they pursued a degree in AVCE - Double Award in Art & Design. Matthew further enhanced their artistic skills by undertaking a City & Guilds program in Mixed Media & Ceramics at the same college from 2002 to 2004. Following this, Matthew Davies joined Arts University Bournemouth in 2006, where they earned a BA (hons) degree in Modelmaking. This completes their education history.
