Patrick Magee

Patrick Magee is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in full stack development, particularly in cloud-based API solutions for bioinformatics. Currently serving as a Staff Software Developer and Team Lead at DNAstack since March 2016, Patrick has led the design and implementation of scalable RESTful and event-based services using frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate. Prior to this role, Patrick contributed as a Google Summer of Code Intern for the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health, where significant work was done on the Beacon Project API. Additionally, Patrick has a background in developing pharmacogenomics software at the University of Toronto and analyzing genomic data during a tenure as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant at Queen's University. Educationally, Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Science with a specialization in Cancer Research and a Bachelor of Computer Science.
