Lars Bendik Johnsen

Lars Bendik Johnsen is an accomplished professional in project finance with a focus on infrastructure and energy. Currently serving at DNB since August 2022, Lars also holds a board member position at the BNCC Brazilian Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, where efforts are directed towards fostering commercial relationships between Brazil and Norway. Previously, from October 2019 to April 2022, Lars was the Director of Project Development and Project Finance at Emergy, specializing in renewable energy financing and project origination. Prior experience includes working in project and corporate finance at IDB Invest from August 2013 to October 2019, with notable involvement in the Porto de Sergipe LNG Power Plant project. Lars holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University, a Master of Science in Finance from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, and has participated in exchange programs at Copenhagen Business School and the Technical University of Munich, in addition to training at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy.
