Mahmud Hasan

Mahmud Hasan is a seasoned executive and social entrepreneur with extensive experience in the fields of sustainable development, ICT, and gender equality. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Dnet-Development Research Network since September 2025, Mahmud has a proven track record in strategic leadership, program design, and policy advocacy targeted at empowering marginalized communities. Previous roles include Country Manager at Fairbanc, Chief Operating Officer at Bangladesh Telecentre Network, Co-Founder and CEO of Agromars, and Director of Agriculture Policy at DAI. Mahmud has contributed to various organizations such as the British Council and UN Women in roles ranging from translation specialist to grants writer. With a strong educational background in economics from the University of Dhaka, Mahmud's work emphasizes leveraging technology and partnerships for social impact, particularly in governance, climate justice, and food safety.
