Aly Sim

Aly Sim is a Senior Chartered Engineer with experience in the offshore oil and gas sector, currently working for DNV GL since March 2014. In this role, Aly provides assurance and risk-management services as an Independent Competent Person (ICP/Verifier) for new-build capital expenditure projects on the UK Continental Shelf. Prior to this, Aly served as a Subsea Engineer at Jee Limited from September 2013 to February 2014, specializing in pipeline, riser, and subsea engineering for the oil, gas, and renewable energy industries. Aly also gained experience as an Engineering Assistant at Shetland Islands Council in two separate positions in 2011 and 2012, focusing on foundation analysis and design using AutoCAD. Aly holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, completed in 2013, and attended Anderson High School in Shetland from 2001 to 2007.
