Ben Roper

Ben Roper is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in energy storage and product engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Energy Storage Consultant at DNV since January 2024, Ben previously worked as a Project Engineer at Noriker Power Ltd, focusing on the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems for the UK grid. Prior roles include Innovation Lead Test Engineer at Invertek Drives Ltd, where responsibilities included validation of Variable Frequency Drives and managing technician training. Additional experience encompasses product engineering at Ricoh UK Products Ltd, addressing challenges in high-speed digital inkjet printers, and systems engineering at Dytecna Ltd, where environmental testing and design of electrical systems were key tasks. Ben holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics from the University of Wolverhampton.
