Constantinos Chronakis

Constantinos Chronakis is an experienced Approval Engineer specializing in materials and welding at DNV since October 2025. Previously, Chronakis served as a Plan Approval Engineer for machinery at the American Bureau of Shipping from April 2023 to September 2025, where responsibilities included plan approval of mechanical equipment, product design assessments, and conducting statutory reviews for flag administrations. Earlier roles include a Production Engineer position at Loukis Piping, developing efficient production and order management systems, and a brief tenure as a Data Entry Officer at Trafigura. Chronakis also completed mandatory military service with the Greek Army and interned at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy, assisting in inspections of Greek-flagged vessels. Chronakis holds a Master of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and additional education from Technische Universität Berlin.
