Dan Allason

Dan Allason is currently a Principal Consultant at DNV UK's Laboratories and Testing Department, where they work on large research projects focused on Major Hazards related to the Energy Transition. Based at the Spadeadam Testing and Research Centre since 2007, Dan has extensive experience in managing test programs and leading the design and operation of experimental facilities. They have conducted and analyzed large-scale experiments involving substances such as hydrogen and carbon dioxide and have engaged in research topics like Vapour Cloud Explosion and hydrogen safety. Dan's prior roles include Senior Project Engineer and Head of Section: Research and Innovation, with over 16 years of experience in Health & Safety procedures, risk assessment, and experimental design. They hold a BSc (Hons) in Physics from The University of Edinburgh.
