Daniel Samu is an accomplished umbilical products specialist with extensive experience in engineering. They began their career as a Product Engineer at Technip from 2009 to 2011, focusing on flexible pipe design and optimization tools. Daniel then worked at Petrobras as a Subsea Engineer from 2011 to 2019, where they were responsible for umbilical qualification processes and project development. Following that, they served as a Senior Specialist at Aker Solutions from 2019 to 2023, participating in design reviews and providing technical support. Currently, Daniel holds the position of Principal Analysis Engineer at DNV. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Subsea Engineering from Universidade Petrobras between 2004 and 2009.
