Derek Petch is currently the Head of Section for Turbine Technology at DNV GL, a position held since 2015. They have extensive experience in the wind energy sector, having previously served as a Vice President of Product Development at Boulder Windpower and as a Project Leader at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Derek also held significant roles at Clipper Windpower, Asyst Technologies, Kenetech Windpower, and Beckman Coulter. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1984.
