Derek Wang

Derek Wang possesses extensive experience in software engineering and product management, highlighted by a tenure at DNV from July 2013 to March 2025. As a Product Manager and Platform Architect for the Veracity Innovation Platform, Derek led strategic product development to support R&D and Maritime Business Development units. Previous roles at DNV include Lead Platform Architect & Data Scientist, managing platform architecture and data science initiatives, and Lead Data Scientist, directing analytics projects and collaborating with engineering teams. Early career experience includes a Software Engineer position at GBI, where engagement in technology strategy and software module development was crucial. Derek holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field from Nanchang Hangkong University.
