Jens Eftang

Jens Eftang is a Principal Computational Scientist at DNV, where experience includes developing DNV Sesam software for strength assessment of offshore and maritime structures, with a focus on finite element analysis. Jens also serves as product owner and holds technical responsibility for core Sesam analysis tools. Prior to this role, Jens was a Senior Computational Scientist at DNV, contributing to the same software development. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis and a Master's in Applied Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Research experience encompasses a Postdoctoral position at MIT, focused on algorithms for partial differential equations and associated methods, as well as a Ph.D. project on reduced basis methods. Early career involved internships addressing computational mesh algorithms and numerical simulations relevant to solar cell production.
