Jonathan Pye

Jonathan Pye is an Energy Advisor with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in subsurface aspects of both conventional hydrocarbons and renewable energy solutions. Currently, they serve as a CCS Senior Principal Consultant at DNV, leading subsurface assurance and certification projects for CO2 storage. Previously, Jonathan held roles at various companies, including Partner and Principal Geophysicist at Rockflow Resources, where they provided strategic advisory services for energy transition projects, and Senior Geophysicist at Centrica Energy and Premier Oil PLC, contributing to significant exploration and development initiatives. Jonathan earned a PhD in Marine Geophysics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc(Hons) in Geology with Geophysics from Imperial College London, along with additional training in Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage from the Colorado School of Mines.
