Merten Stein has extensive experience in the maritime and consulting industries, serving as Head of Department for Shipping Advisory in both West Europe at DNV GL from 2012 to March 2023 and currently at DNV in Hamburg and Dubai since January 2022. Prior to this, Merten Stein worked as a Senior Associate at Booz & Company from 2000 to 2011. Merten Stein holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, obtained between 1994 and 2001, as well as a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed in 1998.
