Murat Kaptan, M.Eng, P.Eng, is an experienced professional in the field of naval architecture and marine engineering. Currently serving as Station Manager for DNV in New York, Montreal, and Halifax since 2012, Kaptan has also held the roles of Senior Surveyor, Approval Engineer, and Auditor. Prior to DNV, Kaptan worked at Lengkeek Vessel Engineering Inc. from 2002 to May 2012 as a Naval Architect and Project Engineer. Kaptan holds a Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, complemented by a foundational education from TED Ankara Koleji.
