Stefan Baars

Stefan Baars is the Director and Head of Section for Concrete Structures and Geotechnics at DNV, a position held since 2009. They began their career as a Projektingenieur at Ingenieurbüro Donath from 2002 to 2004 and subsequently served as a Principal Engineer at DNV GL until 2009. With a strong educational background, Baars earned a Diplom-Ingenieur in Civil Engineering and Environmental Technology from Technische Universität Hamburg, followed by participation in a graduate program focused on Marine Engineering Structures. Since 2004, they have dedicated their work to ensuring a safe and reliable energy transition on a global scale.
