Torben Søndergaard

Torben Søndergaard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the maritime and energy sectors. They completed a Master of Science at Aalborg Universitet in 1992 and began their career as a project manager at the Danish Maritime Institute - Force Technology, where they worked until 2001. Over the years, they held various leadership roles, including Head of Section at Det Norske Veritas Danmark A/S and Head of Department for Metocean and Loads at Ørsted from 2012 to 2023. Currently, Torben serves as the Director and Service Line Leader for Project Certification at DNV. Additionally, they participated in an IAESTE exchange program at the University of Western Ontario in 1992.
