Joseph Brown, P.E. has over 20 years of work experience in various technical and engineering roles. Joseph began their career at Cooper Power Systems, where they worked as a Transformer Design Engineer. After that, they joined AK Steel Corporation as a Shift Manager in the Electric Power Department, overseeing the testing, maintenance, and operation of high voltage power systems. Joseph then took on the role of Maintenance Manager at AK Steel's Electrogalvanize production facility, where they managed a team and supervised maintenance activities. Joseph later transitioned to Kaiser Aluminum as a Plant Engineer, providing engineering oversight for plant processes, utilities, and structures. Most recently, Joseph has been employed at Doble Engineering Company, initially serving as a Client Service Engineer for power factor and sweep frequency response instruments. Joseph then became a Technical Application Engineer, specializing in circuit breaker analyzers and partial discharge survey instruments. Currently, Joseph holds the position of Senior Sales Engineer, contributing their technical expertise to support the sales of portable test instruments from Doble, Vanguard, and Morgan Schaffer. Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated their proficiency in providing training, technical support, and troubleshooting in various engineering fields.
Joseph Brown, P.E. pursued their education in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Starting in 1985, they attended Ohio University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1989. Continuing their academic journey, Joseph then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University from 1989 to 1992.
