Clovis Chedid

Clovis Chedid has a diverse work experience in various roles related to data engineering, architecture, and leadership.

Starting in 1999, Chedid worked as a System Analyst at Vialink Informática, where they gained experience in designing and building different systems such as billing and authentication applications.

In 2002, Chedid joined Vésper as a System Analyst, where they contributed to the development of a billing system, integrating ticketing, billing, and aging systems using Oracle PL-SQL, ASP, Perl, and Shell Script.

Moving forward, Chedid worked as a Software Architect at Quattor Petrochemical Co from 2003 to 2008. Their responsibilities included designing software solutions based on Java, EAI, and Portals. Clovis also led a team of system analysts in developing complex solutions.

Chedid then joined ONS - Operador Nacional do Sistema Eletrico in 2008 and held multiple roles, including Chief Architect, Solution Architect, and Data Engineer/Architect. In their role as Chief Architect, they were responsible for designing IT solutions and leading a team of architects. As a Data Engineer/Architect, they worked on building a data platform, including the development of a base framework using Python and Spark.

In 2020, Chedid joined Zoop as the Data Engineering Team Leader, where they focused on building a scalable data platform using distributed processing and event-driven design. Clovis later became the Head of Data and led the reset and redefinition of the data and analytics team's goals.

Currently, Chedid is working at Dock as the Data Engineering Director, responsible for leading the entire data team, including database management, platforms, analytics, and data science.

Overall, Chedid has extensive experience in data engineering, architecture, and leadership roles, with a proven track record of building scalable solutions and leading high-performance teams.

Clovis Chedid holds an Engineer's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering from UERJ. Clovis completed their undergraduate studies from 1997 to 2006. In 2019, Clovis started pursuing a Master's degree in Computing Engineering from COPPE UFRJ, which they are expected to complete in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Clovis Chedid has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed the courses "Reproducible Research," "Exploratory Data Analysis," "Getting and Cleaning Data," "R Programming," and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera.
