Erick Alcântara

Erick Alcântara has a strong background in software quality analysis and research. Erick started their career in 2014 as a Researcher at the Laboratório de Sistemas Distribuídos, where they worked on the Socientize project, developing a web application using bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery. Erick then moved to the Laboratório de Sistemas de Informação - LSI/UFCG, where they continued their research work on the POETA project, focusing on the development of an interface for visualizing educational statistical data. In 2015, they joined the Laboratório de Visão Computacional (UFCG) as a Researcher, working on a project related to acquiring signals from Electroencephalography (EEG) and developing a Java application for emotion stimulation and classification. After processing the EEG signals using Python, they were able to accurately classify human emotions. In 2021, Erick joined Conductor Tecnologia em Meios de Pagamento as a Software Quality Analyst I and later transitioned to the role of QA Analyst II at Dock in 2022. In these roles, they were responsible for test planning and writing test cases, executing API and WebServices testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, and RestAssured, as well as performance and load testing using JMeter.

Erick Alcântara graduated from the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande in 2017 with a degree in Ciência da Computação. Prior to that, they attended the Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia da Paraíba - IFPB from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Técnico em Manutenção e Suporte em Informática, specializing in Manutenção e Suporte em Informática. Additionally, Erick has obtained several certifications, including JUnit 5 from TestAutomationU in March 2023, Automatizando Testes de API com REST Assured from TestAutomationU in January 2021, Automação de Testes Com Robot Frameword - Básico from Udemy in December 2020, Automação de Testes com Robot Framework - Avançado from Udemy in December 2020, BDD com Cucumber em Java from Udemy in December 2020, CTFL - Certified Tester Foundation Level from BSTQB in December 2020, Estabelecendo uma base para uma automação de teste bem-sucedida from TestAutomationU in December 2020, and Selenium Webdriver with Java from TestAutomationU in November 2020.
