Felipe Barros

Felipe Barros has a diverse work experience in software engineering and data-related roles. Felipe is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Dock, where their responsibilities include developing Banking as a Service (BaaS) products using Typescript, AWS, PostgreSQL, Python, and Java. Prior to this, Felipe worked as a Software Engineer at Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut, where they developed back-end systems using Typescript, Linked Data, RDF, and front-end systems using Vue.

Felipe has also worked at Nexfar as a Data Consultant and Data Analyst, where they mentored new employees, developed ETL processes using Python and MongoDB, and created automated reports using Python and AWS S3. Felipe had a role as a Data Engineer at GS Ciência do Consumo, specializing in automation using AWS Glue, and backend development using Django and PostgreSQL.

Felipe has experience as a Back End Developer at Conaz, contributing to backend development using Python, Flask, MySQL, and SQLAlchemy, along with integration development with external partners. Felipe started their career as a Jr Back End Developer and later became a Back End Developer at Conaz.

Additionally, Felipe has worked as an Instructor at JCAVI Soluções e Treinamentos em TI, and as an Analyst of IT at Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana. In the early stages of their career, they served as an IT Analyst and Intern at Kamikan Processamento de Dados, where their responsibilities included automated reporting using MySQL and JasperReports iReport, as well as Back End development using Java GWT.

Felipe Barros completed their Data Scientist Nanodegree at Udacity from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana from 2011 to 2018. In 2014 to 2015, they also attended the National College of Ireland, where they obtained a BSc in Computing. In terms of additional certifications, Felipe received the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2022. Felipe also obtained the AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical) certification from AWS in March 2022 and the Microservices Foundations certification from LinkedIn in September 2021.
