Peter Nichols currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Docker, Inc., where responsibilities include overseeing the development of the AI platform infrastructure for customer workloads in the cloud. Previously, Peter held the role of Senior Director of Software Development at Oracle, leading multiple teams and managing operational strategies for essential services, including API gateways and workflow orchestration. Peter also played a key role in building the OCI Marketplace and stabilizing critical services within the company. Earlier career experience includes managing software development at Prime 8 Consulting, serving as Software Architect for Mercent Corporation, and founding Franklin Media Group, LLC, which grew into a successful e-commerce enterprise. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College.
