James Pittman has been working in the legal field since 1999. James began their career as a Patent Agent at Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP, where they were responsible for prosecuting European and Japanese counterparts to US applications in the field of chemistry. In 2001, they moved to Klauber & Jackson as an Associate Attorney, where they continued to prosecute European and Japanese counterparts to US applications in the field of chemistry. In 2005, they opened their own law office, the Law Office of James E. Pittman, where they served as the Attorney and Owner. In 2015, they became the Co-founder and Chief Product Architect of Docketwise, where they provided immigration domain expertise to the product development team, interfaced with industry partners and government, and developed social media content to promote the company.

James Pittman's education history includes a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law from 1996 to 1999, an Advanced Turkish Certificate from TOMER - Istanbul branch obtained in September 2004, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Chemistry from Temple University from 1995 to 1996, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry and Psychology (double major) from Temple University from 1990 to 1994.
