Mike Binns

Mike Binns is an engineer at DockYard. Mike previously worked as a cloud platform developer 3 at Hyland from October 2008 to August 2018 and as an internet manager at Gordon College from August 2004 to October 2008. At Hyland, they maintained the ISP, network core, and edge switches for the entire college, which included 1600 students, 450 faculty/staff, 26 buildings, and numerous off-site locations. Mike also maintained appliances including the firewall, content filtering, bandwidth control, DNS, DHCP, WINS, RADIUS, VPN, and SNMP system monitoring. In addition, they deployed and maintained a campus-wide wireless system that serviced all buildings. At Gordon College, they performed similar duties.

Mike Binns has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Gordon College. Mike is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services and as a Firefighter 1/2 by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services.

They are on a team with Drew Chandler - Engineer, Chantal Broeren - Engineer, and Benjamin Rosas - Engineer. Mike Binns reports to Estelle DeBlois, Director of Engineering.
