Barend Broen

Barend Broen serves as the Global VP of Tax & Treasury at Docplanner since March 2025. Previously, Barend held various leadership roles at Mambu from June 2021 to February 2025, including Head of Business Operations, Tax and Treasury, and several head positions focused on tax and treasury management. Barend was also a Lecturer and Coordinator for the Master course in Transfer Pricing at Erasmus School of Law until March 2024 and has extensive experience at Shell as Transfer Pricing Director and at Ruitenburg adviseurs & accountants as Head of International Tax & Transfer Pricing. Barend's career includes significant tax roles at Unilever and ABN AMRO Bank N.V., along with earlier experience as a Tax Consultant at PwC and PKF Wallast. Barend obtained a Mr. in Financial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has additional education from various institutions in fields related to finance and tax.
