Matthew Reid

Matthew Reid is a seasoned public health medicine specialist currently working at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. They have held various leadership roles, including Chief Clinical Advisor at the Ministry of Health New Zealand and Chairperson for Médecins Sans Frontières Australia & Médecins Sans Frontières New Zealand. Matthew served on the Australia Board of Médecins Sans Frontières from 2007 to 2018 and was President of Médecins Sans Frontières Australia from 2008 to 2010. They also have extensive academic experience as a lecturer at the University of Canterbury and as an honorary research fellow at the University of Otago. Matthew earned a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Otago.
