Lars Pontén

Lars Pontén has been in the tech industry since 1978. Lars began their career as a Programmer at SD Datatjänst AB, where they worked with Logistics for automotive retailers and Defence. In 1984, they moved to TeleLogic AB / TeleSoft Europe AB as a Systems Engineer, programming Ada software products and working on defense and telecom systems. In 1988, they became a Project Manager R&D at Telesoft Uppsala AB, working on EU and Swedish R&D programs. In 1995, they became Manager Professional Services at Sysdeco Mimer AB. In 1996, they moved to Telia Promotor as a Product Manager, coordinating company offerings in Extranet, Intranet, e-commerce, Internet banks, Information Security, streaming video, document management, Mobile Internet, CRM, and Contact Center. In 2000, they worked as Business Development Manager at Melody Interactive Solutions and as Mobile Internet at Oppido. In 2002, they started their own company, Lars Pontén AB, where they worked as Owner and Systems/Security Architect and Analyst for Lift, a large distributed Logistics system for the Swedish Armed Forces. In 2020, they joined Doctrin AB as Chief Information Security Officer and on the Tech Advisory Board, with a focus on Security.

Lars Pontén has an education history that includes a M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University (1972-1978), a Matriculation in Physical Sciences from Spyken, Lund (1971-1972), and academic experience from the University of Miami (1970-1971), and Palmetto Senior High School, Miami, Florida (1969-1970). Lars also holds two certifications, a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² obtained in June 2017 and a CISSP, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) from (ISC)² obtained in July 2015.
