Michael Hepler, CFE, CGAP, has extensive experience in auditing, currently serving as an Audit Project Manager at the DoD Inspector General since July 2004. Responsibilities include overseeing financial and performance audits within the Acquisition, Contracting, and Sustainment Directorate, with a focus on healthcare and contracting. Previous roles include Lead Auditor and Senior Auditor, where Michael led significant audits that identified over $100 million in potential monetary benefits and control weaknesses. Additionally, Michael served as Senior Advisor to the IG for Employee Engagement at the AmeriCorps Office of Inspector General, focusing on organizational efficiencies and employee engagement initiatives. Michael holds a BSBA in Accounting from Robert Morris University, a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University and Defense Acquisition University.
