Tom Dean

Principal Researcher at Dogtooth

Tom has a first class degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. After four years as a postdoctoral researcher working in the field of computational statistics he left academia to pursue his dream of taking research out of the laboratory and using it to develop practical technologies of more immediate benefit to society. Since then he has worked on applying cutting edge machine learning techniques in the fields of cyber security and autonomous driving and, in his current role at Dogtooth technologies, to developing the next generation of agricultural robotics.
